Karolina Lavergne is an artist based in Los Angeles. She works with a range of media including text, video, still image, photography, sculpture, film-making, book-making, and painting. She sources material from daily life, training her eye on pre-existing subjects, happened upon through waiting and observation. Her work explores the domestic as a sphere that is both refuge and trap, in which desire is inseparable from struggle. Lavergne holds an MFA from ArtCenter College of Design and has shown work internationally and throughout Los Angeles.
